Book Giveaway

Posted By Faith and Family Books on September 23, 2008

Ok, so I admit our whole family had so much fun with the apron giveaway that we wanted to host another giveaway…this time a book giveaway! Robert has decided to give away three books! You all have one week to submit a comment about what book or books you are reading as an individual or as a family. Only one entry per person, but Robert says that more than one person from each family may enter! He says that is an extra bonus for large families!;-)

Here are the book titles that he is giving away:

  1. Fireside Readings Volume 1
  2. Christie’s Old Organ
  3. The Pillar of Fire

We will do the drawing next Tuesday, September 30 in the morning and announce the winner by noon of that same day. The way we did it last time was to put all the names into Robert’s hat and let our two younger children pull them out…letting even the little ones get involved. :-)

Let the giveaway begin! Looking forward to hearing what you all are reading and who wins the giveaway!

  1. Magen says:

I would love to add a book to my family collection!
For I believe Emily Dickenson said it best in her “Poems on Life # 99″

THERE is no frigate like a book
    To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
    Of prancing poetry.

This traverse may the poorest take
    Without oppress of toll;
    How frugal is the chariot
    That bears a human soul

  2. Thank you, Magen for being the first to enter! It seems to take only one to start a little trickle. You are officially entered!

This will show you how little I have read Emily Dickenson, but I believe that is the first time that I have read that poem. Thanks for sharing it. I believe our girls will enjoy it too.

  3. Katie G. says:

    I’m reading

–The Spontaneous Spread of Home-Discipleship Christianity by Henry Reyenga Jr.

–The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory (Actually I’m reading all her books because it’s Historical Fiction and I love it!)

    –Warm Fuzzies (knitting & felting)

  4. Katie G. says:

As a family we’re reading Gladys Alyward’s biography

  5. Hi Katie,

Good to “see” you here! I have to bookmark your blog so I can remember to “see” how you all are doing.

    Thanks for entering our contest!

I have only read one of the books you listed. I have read one of Henry Reynga’s books, his first I believe.

Looks like, we already know who our winners will be….;-)
