Life’s Disappointments

Posted By Faith and Family Books on November 25, 2009

Most of us have experienced disappointments in life, right? Recently, we experienced a couple more unexpected disappointments in regards to our journey in becoming horse owners. To make a very long, confusing story short – the horse owner gave Blaze away out from under us as we were seeking to find a barn. This was totally unexpected and brought a new type of grief to our lives. I have been trying not to figure it out and trying to get us all to accept this as something we cannot understand and to have faith the Lord must have something better for us.

It has been disappointing health-wise to have been battling pink eye, strep throat and colds for a month now. Most of us are better with just coughs lingering, but one of us had to go on antibiotics due to not getting better. After four days of antibiotics, it is amazing how perky this individual is. We are thankful.

Life and work has slowed down considerably over the past month which has allowed for some relaxation time as we have been recovering from illness. It’s been a blessing in disguise.
