New Client, Another New Beginning

Posted By Faith and Family Books on February 4, 2010

Thanks to a friend for passing along the inquiry, we are praising the Lord for His provision of a new client for me. I haven’t officially started working for her yet, as we still have our consultation and paperwork to complete, but I am hopeful that our working relationship will start early next week.

It’s been an interesting learning curve working from home. It definitely adds a new dimension to our home life. When we started Faith and Family Books, yes I was working from home, but it isn’t quite the same because the online bookstore did not entail working every day. Now, it means working every day and learning to manage my time wisely – I am still learning that! I do like the flexibility that working at home gives me. Usually I work when I want to, keeping my own hours.

We’ve been watching the Waltons (remember that old show?) and while we don’t agree with many of the things contained within the show, what we appreciate is their large family and the time in which they lived – The Great Depression. Robert and I were just talking about the fact that I probably wouldn’t be working if he had not have been laid off. Funny how circumstances change everything. I never set out to be a work-at-home-mom, it happened out of necessity and we can’t deny that we question God’s ways because we do. We also try to comfort ourselves with verses like the ones a friend emailed to us a couple of weeks ago concerning something else, but related to everything in life that surprises us:

“but ‘this didn’t catch GOD by mistake or surprise’. ‘HE knoweth the path I take’, and ‘as man deviseth his way, the LORD directeth his steps’. Proberbs 3: 5 and 6 says,’Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct your path’. What great verses and what great promises!

Through this you will grow, and I like to always think that ‘the best is yet ahead’….. although it may not always LOOK that way. Someday we will understand it all. For now we just need to do what is RIGHT for TODAY with all the knowledge that GOD has given us.”

  1. How can I earn more money sitting at home in India?

  2. Research your online options, there are legitimate ways to earn money from home. It just takes time to sort through the spammy opportunities and find them.

  3. I enjoyed the article and thanks because of posting such valuable paperback emoluments of all of us to gain, I embark on it both cost-effective and illuminating and I speculate on to read it as again as I can.
