R.G. Age 8 from Illinois of Jill's Red Bag:
This book taught me more about tithing and encouraged me in my walk to the Golden City. It also taught me the importance of controlling my temper.

R.G. Age 6 from Illinois of Basket of Flowers:
This is a book about a girl who got sent to prison because they accused her of stealing a ring. It made me learn about patience and mercy.

Mother of 5 from Northern Illinois of The Von Schmid Books:
I have not had the opportunity to read all of the Lamplighter books. However, I have read all of the works by Von Schmid. He is a wonderful author with a real knack for bringing forth the purity of Christ's character reflected in believers as they face the trials and successes of life. The story lines are always interesting and not obvious or predictable like so many of the "cookie cutter" books available on the mass market today. The character lessons are so naturally woven into the stories and the characters are so believable, making the lessons taught all the stronger. The Von Schmid books are truly a joy to read and have been a personal encouragement in my walk with the Lord. I know that I will read them personally and to my children for years to come.

Home school mom from Illinois of Christie's Old Organ and Christie the King's Servant:
These are two of our favorites. They are priceless in their display of truly selfless expressions of love and patience in suffering. The character of Christie really displays a deep heart hunger for the things of God. They are worth reading time and again!

Mother from Illinois of Jill's Red Bag:
This was such a sweet story. We chuckled over many of the children's escapades! Most importantly, it made an impression upon our children about the importance of giving to the Lord a portion of what He has given to us. It is so encouraging when our children get such important truths. This book just seemed to reinforce what we have been teaching our children already.

Elliot F. from Illinois of Titus: A Commrade of the Cross:
This book is a very interesting book with many separate plots that intertwine. Strongly recommended.

Rachel D. from Canada of Beggar's Blessing:
I received this book from a friend and just LOVED it! If you are looking for a book to buy your little one, this is the one to get! It has such a wonderful message of compassion and mercy! I had the hardest time reading it to my daughter without crying :) I know it’s going to be one of our favorites for a long time to come!

R.J. from Midwest of The Lost Clue by O.F. Walton:
This book will keep you on the edge of you seat until you finish it! It is one of my favorites. The story line is about trusting God even through difficult circumstances. I was inspired to trust God even when He takes something away. This is a must read!
